Wrigley Marine Science Center on Catalina Island
Navigation

Located on Catalina Island just 20 miles off the coast of Los Angeles, the Philip K. Wrigley Marine Science Center (WMSC) is the heart of the Wrigley Institute. Generous gifts from the Wrigley family have transformed the center into a state-of-the-art laboratory and teaching facility.

Catalina's proximity to an urban center and the island's protected status provide an excellent site for marine and terrestrial investigations. Eight laboratories accommodate up to 24 researchers and groups of up to 60 students. Housing can host 65 overnight guests and provide meals for up to 150 people. The lab is currently used by faculty and students from USC and other regional universities and is available for a broad range of research and educational activities.
