RAFFLE PRIZE DONATION GUIDELINES FOR MANUFACTURERS
Thanks for your continued (or possibly new) support of the Catalina
Hyperbaric Chamber. Chamber Day is the largest single day scuba related fundraiser with active participation from
close to 1000 divers. The prizes for the Raffles and Blind Auctions are provided by Diving Equipment Manufacturers.
We publicize the contributions to Chamber Day through our website, postings on various Internet scuba forums, print
ads, and other means.
Pledges for donations can be made using our Raffle Prize Donation Form. Raffle prizes are subject
to approval within the following guidelines:
- CHAMBER EVENING RAFFLE & BLIND AUCTIONS
($200 minimum value)
Prizes for the Chamber Evening Raffle must have a minimum retail
value of $200. During this event we have a special AV presentation going that projects images of all the Evening Raffle
prizes up on the walls at the Aquarium of the Pacific. It's excellent exposure for you. Chamber Evening includes a
sit-down dinner and many divers bring their non-diving Significant Other, so non-diving prizes are welcome. Because
this is a "live" raffle, we try to limit the total number of prizes to around 20 so the evening doesn't drag on too
long. So don't get left behind!
CHAMBER DAY RAFFLE & BLIND AUCTIONS
($100 minimum value)
Prizes must have a retail value of at least $100. You can combine
items together to hit the $100+ mark
(mask, snorkel, fins combo for instance)
CHAMBER DAY BOAT RAFFLES
If you don't have items that are worth at least $100, we can still accept those items for the boat raffle.
Each boat (average 30 divers to a boat, about a dozen boats participating) has an on-board raffle just for
those on that boat. This is a great place for smaller items. And if you'd like to give multiples of a specific
item (say 12 small lights or 12 knives or something like that) this is a great way to do it.
If you have any questions about the Raffles or the guidelines please contact our Prize Coordinator,
Steve Ladd at Ocean
Adventures (310-578-9391). All approved pledged donations should be shipped to Steve at 1915 Lincoln Blvd. - Venice,
CA - 90291.
