National Association of Marine Labs

Across the United States, a network of marine labs is one of the critical components of our national ability to conduct marine research and educate undergraduate and graduate students. Many of these same labs also create and promote educational activities at the K-12 level. This site is a model of how the National Association of Marine Labs (NAML) can provide a common portal for making these K-12 education capabilities more obvious and available.

Recently, the National Science Foundation has funded the Centers for Ocean Science Education Excellence (COSEE), which is a network of seven regional centers to enhance K-12 education. Many of these COSEE centers are connected to multiple marine laboratories.
